Grant Thiessen - Psalm 3 - A broken hearted father, on the run from his son who seeks to kill him and take over his kingdom. Downcast by this betrayal David finds help and hope in God. He finds rest and peace in God his salvation in the midst of horrible apposition.

PJ Lewis - Psalm 2 reminds us that no one has their own authority, but that everyone is under God's authority. We can trust God with who He appoints.

PJ Lewis - Psalm 1 - Psalm 1 talks about two kinds of people going in entirely opposite directions in life.   And it all depends on how one responds to God and His Word.

PJ Lewis - 2 Peter 3:13-18 - Peter ends his letter with a reminder of what living life on this planet is all about: to allow a correct view of eternity to motivate us to become more and more like Jesus, and to allow that to motivate us to share and show Jesus to the world around us, glorifying Him until He returns.

PJ Lewis - 2 Peter 3:1-12 - Unbelievers tend to overlook the fact that God will come back, which should motivate them to repent. We believers tend to overlook the reason why God is taking so long to come back, which should motivate us to share Jesus with others.

Coleman Diffenderfer - 2 Peter 2:10-22 - False teachers have weaseled they way into positions of influence among God's people since the time of the prophets. Peter reminds his original readers and us that these teachers and their desire to mislead the people of God are things we need to continue to be mindful of.

PJ Lewis - 2 Peter 2:1-10 - Peter reminds us that God will rescue the righteous and punish the unrighteous at the exact right time. Let's let God do the rescuing and punishing, and let us be concerned about sharing the Gospel so there will be more people to rescue and less people to punish.

PJ Lewis - 2 Peter 1:12-21 - This week we are reminded the Bible we have is a very unique book. It really is the words of God. Let's remember.

Grant Thiessen - 2 Peter 1:5-11 - Peter gives us a list of qualities that should be in a follower of Christ’s life, and that they should also be increasing as we live this life in Christ. He then challenges us to do a self check, to see if these qualities are actually a part of us, and if not then we have become blind because we have forgotten about our cleansing from our former sins, but that through remembering what Christ has done in our lives we can obtain these qualities and never fall away from Him.

PJ Lewis - 2 Peter 1:1-4 - Peter reminds us that we have everything we need for life and godliness.  We needed to be rescued from the corruption of sin and made new.  Jesus has done that!  And that is all we need!

PJ Lewis - Romans 4:16-25 - God is the one who gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist.  He raised Jesus from the dead, and He can raise our lives from the dead too, and He has.
